Brian Bingham
Having trained in Dundee, Bristol, Middlesbrough and Toronto, Brian became an ear, nose and throat Consultant Surgeon, in Glasgow, in 1992. He has been chairman of Great Britain & Ireland fellowship examinations in ear nose and throat and president of the UK association of ENT surgeons.
His sister, Margaret, had severe cerebral palsy. She was confined to a wheelchair and could not speak. She attended school in Stanmore House and also lived at Scotscraig. Margaret lived, very happily, at Wallace Court from its opening until she died at the age of 71 in the summer of 2019.
Brian watched his parents and sister cope with the Scottish care and healthcare systems, sometimes successfully but sometimes not!
Brian wants to contribute to Capability Scotland to improve the life quality of those with disabilities.
