Team Leader - Youthzone & Activities4All - MAT Cover (INTERNAL ONLY)

Team Leader (FTC - Maternity Cover until April 2026) Youthzone & Activities4All - Edinburgh

We are currently recruiting a Team Leader (maternity cover) for 32 hours per week to work in our weekend and school holiday services for children and young people with additional supports needs in Edinburgh. The role includes providing fun, meaningful activities such as baking, arts and crafts, games, sports, trips in the community and outdoor play to support young people to have lots of fun!

The Team Leader will be responsible for the planning and delivery of each session, upkeep of personal plans for young people, meeting Care Inspectorate requirements and health and safety requirements of the building along with supporting a small staff team. Experience in a childcare setting is essential and you should be working towards or achieved either of the following qualifications:

• BA Childhood Practice.
• SQA Professional Development Award Childhood Practice (360 credits at SCQF Level 9)
• BA (Hons) Childhood Practice
• Graduate Diploma in Childhood Practice
• Postgraduate Diploma in Childhood Practice

Applicants holding the following qualifications will also be considered:

• SVQ3/SVQ4 level qualification (Children and Young People)
• HNC/HND Childcare qualification

You will be required to provide personal care and medication for young people and must complete Child Protection and Emergency First Aid training within your initial 6 month probationary period which will be provided by Capability Scotland.
