Personal Assistant
Do you like any of the following - watching whodunnits, costume dramas, game shows on TV. Going on short walks on fine days. Playing simple card games, Scrabble or puzzles. Yes, then I am looking for you.
I am a quiet 86 years old lady who lives with mild to moderate dementia. I generally prefer my own company and I speak very little, but I can smile. I do have a good sense of humour and I like to hear people around the place. I am very aware of my surroundings.
I follow a familiar routine that helps me feel secure. I stay in my room for most of the day, enjoying TV or resting, I use a wheeled frame for mobility and I thrive in a calm, predictable environment.
I am looking for two reliable, empathetic individuals to join a developing team, part of an exciting project providing “Care-Home-At-Home respite support.
Ideally, applicants will be qualified or experienced in light personal care – particularly in supporting the elderly and/or those living with dementia – but qualities like kindness and patience are also a key consideration.
