Competition Terms & Conditions
- Capability Scotland (Limited by guarantee, registered in Scotland, number SC036524. Registered Scottish Charity, number SC011330, regulated by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)) is the promoter of this March 2025 competition, whose registered office is 24 St John's Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6NZ.
- Eligibility: This prize promotion is open to Capability Scotland service users resident in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) of any age, excluding employees of Capability Scotland, associated agents or anyone professionally connected with the prize promotion.
- There is no entry fee. No proof of purchase is required.
- By entering this competition, an entrant indicates their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- Entry to the competition is noted through submission of an art piece of any printable media, received via email to Capability Scotland's Communications team.
- Entries will be considered between 13:00 on Wednesday 12 March 2025 (the starting date) and 23:59 on Friday 4 April 2025. After this date and time, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
- Multiple entries from the same person are permitted.
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
- The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows (you need only do one of these things):
- Submit a relevant piece of artwork via email to [email protected] within the allotted timeframe.
- Capability Scotland reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
- The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
- The prize is as follows: one (1) batch of artwork supplies based on the media and tools used through the submitted art piece, up to and including the value of £70.00. For example, if the submitted winning piece is created through watercolour paint, Capability Scotland will provide a prize of new watercolour paints and brushes. Discussion on this prize is permitted.
- The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. The prize is subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- The winner will be chosen through a judged review, by Capability Scotland's Executive Team and Communications Team.
- In the event either of these teams are unavailable, a member of Capability Scotland's staff will select a winner.
- The winner will be notified via email to their key worker or service staff and/or direct message on social media and/or letter within twenty (20) working days after the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within seven (7) days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
- The promoter will notify the winner when the prize is dispatched. The prize will be sent via Capability Scotland's internal mail systems, or hand delivered where possible.
- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Scottish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
